Is The Proposed System a Good Value?
USERS WOULD PAY SIGNIFICANTLY MORE THAN NEIGHBORING COMMUNITIES PAY FOR THEIR SYSTEMS
The Village of Onekama already has a partial sewer system, and residents pay only $48.33 per month.[i] Residents pay $11.86 per month in Cadillac[ii], $41.34 per month in Manistee[iii], and $37.51 per month in Ludington[iv], compared to an estimated $225.79 per month for the TLCSA system[v].
Thus, the proposed TLCSA system comes in at five and a half times the monthly cost of Manistee’s system, six times the monthly cost of Ludington’s system, and nineteen times the monthly cost of Cadillac’s system. It is a poor value for property owners.
